Karma, Akarma, Vikarma

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna, Who spoke the Bhagavad-Gita As It Is, describes karma as activities or actions that are performed in terms of one’s prescribed duties. Actions or activities that frees one from the cycle of birth and death (mṛityu-saṁsāra) is called akarma. But actions or activities that are performed through the misuse of one’s freedom, which directs one to the lower forms or species of life, are called vikarma, which is illustrated on this link:
